Bachelor of Shipping, Trade and Transport (BSc)

Course SubjectShipping Business
Association NameGerman Shipbrokers Association
Course CountryGermany
Programme DescriptionGerman Shipbrokers Association in conjunction with HST Akademie gGmbH

The philosophy of the course is very much derived from the blending of academic, vocational skills, knowledge and expertise. This is to be achieved by a synthesis of the professional syllabus developed at HST with the academic foundations of the London Metropolitan University under-graduate programme. HST is well established as a provider of rigorous vocational education and is recognised by the professional organisation, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS). London Metropolitan University has long tradition of academic provision in shipping, trade and logistics at under-graduate and post-graduate levels. The progression between the 2.5 year dual apprenticeship and the Level 3 London Metropolitan University is via a structured bridging programme focused around the franchised unit, MN2007 Work Placement Practice. In achieving these aims the learning experience will provide students with knowledge and understanding of the theories, concepts, methods relevant to managerial careers in the shipping, trade and transport sectors. Additionally, skills in problem solving appropriate to these industries will be developed. It also enables the demonstration of the graduate attributes of self-awareness, performance in a variety of idioms, contexts and ethical and creative considerations.

Bachelor of Shipping, Trade and Transport (BSc)

Course SubjectEconomics
